Professor Martine Jager awarded with the EVER-ACTA Professor K.K.K. Lundsgaard Medal

Professor Martine Jager (Leiden University Medical Center) has been awarded with the EVER-ACTA Professor K.K.K. Lundsgaard Medal for her hard work stimulating eye research worldwide.

 

Last month, during the European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER) 2019 meeting in Nice, France, the Board of Acta Ophthalmologica distinguished Professor Martine Jager with the EVER-ACTA Professor K.K.K. Lundsgaard Medal.

Professor Dr. Martine Jager is Professor of Ophthalmology and Principal Investigator of the Department of Ophthalmology at Leiden University Medical Center and a world-renowned expert in the immunology and development of Uveal Melanoma. She brings to the UM Cure 2020 consortium experience in developing translational research, as well as on genetic prognostication and identification of potential therapeutic avenues. Professor Jager is a great enthusiast of international research collaboration and the former President of the International Society of Ocular Oncologists (ISOO).

Congratulations to Prof. Jager for this deserved award! It is a recognition of all the work she has done for the improvement of ocular melanoma patients' care and stimulation of eye research worldwide.
