UM CURE 2020 Kick-Off Meeting

The UM CURE 2020 Kick-off took place at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal. All project partners were represented, some principal investigators already accompanied by collaborators such as PhD students involved in the project.  Plenary sessions for overview of the structure of the work plan and its upcoming deliverables and milestones and administrative aspects of the project took place as well as sessions on scientific work packages in an warm productive environment. The final plenary session featured in particular an inspiring presentation by videoconference of Bettina Ryll (Melanoma Patient Network Europe), who presented her vision of patient networks and advocacy. The meeting was an outstanding start to the project, in particular by reinforcing the cohesion of the group which is of great importance for the success of the project.
