OcuMel UK will organize its Ocular Melanoma Patient Conference 2017 — a conference aimed at patients and caregivers, and involving experts in all aspects of ocular melanoma — on 22nd September in Reading, UK.

OcuMel UK will organize their Annual Conference 2017 on 22nd September in Reading, UK.

The OcuMel UK conference takes place annually in September and involves experts in all aspects of ocular melanoma. The day is aimed at patients and caregivers, but medical professionals often find the event useful and are very welcome to take part. As stated on the application webpage: We build in plenty of time for socialising and networking, including morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and an hour for lunch. We know many of our members are looking forward to meeting up with friends they have met online, perhaps for the first time, and to meet new contacts.

During this annual conference, Professor Sarah Coupland, a UMCure 2020 member, Director of the North West Cancer Research Centre (NWCR) and Principal Investigator of the Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group (LOORG) at Liverpool University, will deliver the talk entitled Update on collaborative international research efforts in uveal melanoma - biology and treatment.
